twenty ten

Have you settled on what to call the new year, as you can read I have my preference. Now that this is out can I ask "What are you going to do to make you more money in twenty ten?"
If the answer is the same thing you did last year then it easy to predict the results. Economic factors certainly did play a roll in all of individual economies over the last year. The business climate does feel like it is working better so far this year. The point is do you carry what people want or do you offer them what you want to sell?
I often marvel at the products that do really well. Often it is because they are marketed heavily and have a name that you know. They often perform as well as the unknown products but cost much more.
Now the question is how do you convince people to buy products like AV LV provides to Integrators? They cost less, perform as well and more often than not are better than the leading lines, the difference is your customers do not have to pay for all that marketing to get what they want.
One way to do this is to have a demo piece of equipment available or use this equipment yourself in an office or showroom. For example our newest CCTV line Vivotek is digital and you can place one unit in your office and demonstrate it from anywhere with a laptop computer. Our Lighting Control Line has a great demo suitcast and an OMNI-Wifi unit speaks for it self once you set one up in a 10,000 sq. ft building and have full coverage. Ultimately it is hard to convince people of anything these days unless you have the right tools and inform them in the right manner.
